The Endobronchial (EBUS) guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) systems for bronchoscopy are used to remove sample tissue in the tracheal tract. In addition to the stainless steel needles, Nitinol needles are also available for more demanding passages and for precise needle positioning in repeated passes. The needle variants can be used on EBUS bronchoscopes (e.g. Olympus, Fujifilm, Pentax). The laser-treated surface of the needle provides visibility under X-ray control.
