Early Cancer Treatment
Detecting tumors at an early stage and treating precancerous lesions before symptoms appear - these are goals of any early cancer detection. The earlier a cancer is detected, the higher the chances of recovery and thus also of survival for the affected patient.
For early cancer detection, e.g. of esophageal, stomach or pancreatic carcinomas, various minimally invasive endoscopic procedures are available, which are often used in combination, e.g. tissue removal using ultrasound-assisted fine needle aspiration or smears using cytology brushes.
