Colonoscopy
What is colonoscopy?
Colonoscopy means the examination of the large intestine using a colonoscope. Colonoscopies serve on the one hand to prevent bowel cancer, but are also indicated for blood in the stool, suspected (chronic) inflammatory diseases, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal complaints or as follow-up care after cancer.
If changes or abnormalities in the intestine become visible during this colonoscopy, there are numerous examination and treatment options.
